Listen: Suicideyear & Honeycoma, “Brye Ting”

Brye Ting

Baton Rouge producer and Sad Boys affiliate Suicideyear has shown a lot of promise at only 19 years old. With tracks like Yung Lean’s “Hurt” or his remix of Waka’s “Hard In The Paint“, the rising beatsmith puts forth playfully bouncy, bass-heavy production that slowly ensnares over the course of four minutes.

But with his newest track “Brye Ting”, a flip of Willow Smith’s “Summer Fling” (also done in Ta-ku’s “I Miss You“), Suicideyear disengages from his familiar comfort zone and branches out with a house-leaning tempo to a subtly infectious result. The producer is set to release his debut album, Rememberance, via Software on September 22.
