The utterly enjoyable summer anthem, “No Flex Zone”, with it’s street-rattling bass and syrupy bounce, seemingly came out of nowhere. And along with it, the two
high schoolers young rappers that bring the song to life. Enter Atlanta via Mississippi brothers Swae Lee and Slim Jimmy, whose suitable stage names are only outclassed by their group alias: Rae Sremmurd. While (obviously) young, and new to the industry, together the duo form a tenacious pair that sincerely seem to be having fun.
With the official video for “No Flex Zone”, Rae Sremmurd take the name of the track quite literally, using a mildly futuristic (and noticeably high-budget) setting to bring their lavish, metaphorical plane of existence to life. In other words it’s amazing. Check it out. (via The Fader)
