For as much as Drake talks about being from Toronto (or is it Houston?), it seems like he’s never given fans a true glimpse of what the sprawling Canadian city actually looks like. As someone who’s never been there, it’s hard to picture Toronto in the summer time, not blanketed in masses of snow. But for as naive as that sounds, The Weeknd took it upon himself to visually educate those who were unaware of just how cool the 416 is.
The Kid. Studio-directed video for “King Of The Fall” portrays a stylish, urban city, subtly reminiscent of a NewYork or Chicago. Through a slow-mo lens, viewers are able to get a real sense of where Tesfaye originates, with plenty of eye-candy, partying, and shots of his XO crew along the way. And all of it is surprisingly safe to view outside the privacy of your own home.
